Screen size problems
If you can't see all 9 advert boxes, this is most likely because your screen resolution is not set to its maximum.
Screen resolution is the quality of your screen image and tells the computer how many pixels to display - the higher the resolution, the better quality the image on screen.
This is because more pixels are used to represent what is being shown. It is similar to a digital camera. A camera with 5 megapixels, is not as good in quality as a camera with 10 megapixels.
We recommend that you have your monitor set up to display the maximum resolution - it is simple to do and can be reversed.
Follow these steps:
- On your desktop right click and select 'Properties'
- Choose the last tab in the display properties box which appears (it is called 'Settings')
- You will see a slide bar entitled 'Screen Resolution' - slide the bar to the right as far as it will go and 'ok' the changes.
You will notice that everything appears smaller on screen - this is because the screen size hasn't changed, but the amount of pixels used to display, has. If you preferred bigger, don't worry - you can change the size of the font under 'Appearance' and also, whilst browsing the internet, holding 'Ctrl' whilst pressing '+' or '-' should increase and decrease web pages without losing the display quality*.
* the most recewnt version of your interenet browser may be need for this
There is a chance, however that you are using an older monitor with the maximum resolution of 800 x 600 or less, in which case you will not be able to make the resolution higher. If this is the case we apologise for the inconvenience but we have designed for higher resolution monitors as they are the most popular and they will only increase in quality as time goes on. |
